Embrace The Loneliness

Hi Reader!

Sometime last week, I was talking to a friend, and the conversation reminded me of how lonely sticking to a path can get, whether it’s starting a business, growing a brand, or making a healthy lifestyle change.

When you start, you might be surrounded by seemingly enthusiastic folks who say they want the same thing, but as the path’s demands grow and its rewards delay, you’ll realize that your passions, convictions, and priorities are sometimes just yours.

You might be the only one you know holding on for as long as it’ll take to see results. It’s even possible that your pursuits are strange and there’s no one around that you can relate to, like being a painter in a family of doctors. But in that lonely season of building, you have to get comfortable with the unease of being odd and consistently hyper-passionate when others give up.

The good news is that sticking to your path will eventually make you cross paths with like-minded people. People who can relate to the specificity and intensity of your desires, who you may even get to work with.

However, at the beginning, when you’re building from the ground up or taking an unfamiliar route, it can get lonely. But don’t sit around waiting for confirmation or validation from people to move.

I once heard Bishop Oyedepo say, paraphrasing here: If you want to go somewhere, just start going, and anyone else who’s interested will join you on the journey. Don’t wait for company to start building. Start building and the right company will come.

Embrace the loneliness. Keep your desire front and center in your mind and trust that everything will work out for your good.

Alright, that'll be all for now, until next Friday.

Light & Increase,

Osose Christabel.

Hi Reader! We officially entered the last quarter of 2026 yesterday. I don’t know about you, but my mind is in this reflective, planning phase where I’m thinking of all I can and want to achieve this year before 2027. And once again I land on the same thing: what’s the one thing I can control? My actions. I can’t exactly decide when I’ll cross certain milestones like becoming a millionaire even though it’s been my goal for 3 years now (Oh Goddddd!😭). But there’s something I can control - how...

Hi Reader! There’s a science to things and nothing is really random. If you want achieve certain kinds of results, you need to learn how to trigger such outcomes. Now, you might not know exactly when you’ll get the result but being an ardent student means that you are constantly learning and implementing your findings until you discover what works for you. This is a belief I now hold. It really doesn’t matter what your goal is. Whether it’s building a successful business, family or career,...

Hi Reader! I remember having secondary school classmates who knew how to draw so well. I mean, my drawing wasn’t so horrible, but it was far from great. Even though it was for biology class, not art class, I bet they got extra points for their perfect skeleton diagram. Anyway, thanks be to God, I’m not pursuing, nor do I intend to pursue, a career in fine arts, amen?😂 But that experience and many others made me believe that people are naturally gifted at certain things - it just comes easily...
