Keep The Promises You Make To Yourself👀

Hi there,

Let's talk. How often do you break the promises you make to yourself?

When you say, “I'm going to show up” and you don't..

“I'm going to take my spiritual life seriously”. “I'm going to post on social media consistently”. “I'm going to read a book”. And every single time you don't..

No, I don't expect 100% compliance. I'm hoping that you’re at least taking yourself seriously. I’m hoping that you regularly audit how you spend your time, see how much of it you’re not maximizing, and all the things you’re supposed to be doing that you’re not.

That person you want to become is in the work you’re avoiding, the uncertainty you’re not embracing, and the consistency you’re yet to master.

I've been thinking, “How can I be trusted with the things I’m praying for when I constantly break the promises I make to myself?”

You're not completing up to 50% of the things you set out to do every day, every week. How do you become the person you want to be? More interestingly, how long do you want it to take?

Keeping the promises you make to yourself builds your character and confidence. You become a person who keeps their word, who trusts in their ability to execute. When you say you'll do something, your mind starts actively scanning for ways to do it quickly and efficiently.

When we journal our goals, exciting prophetic words, and make projections, I wish we could simultaneously picture what it requires of us. Not just the results, but the work, late nights, early mornings, uncertainties, disappointments, and all.

One thing I know is that excellence requires you to be a say-and-do or a plan-and-execute person.

As much as possible, that kind of person keeps the promises they make, starting with the ones they make to themself.

If you can't even keep the promises you make to yourself, how could you possibly commit to something that'll impact others?

Alright, that'll be all for now, until next time.

Light + Increase,

Osose Christabel.

Question for you: What's one promise you’re going to keep to yourself from today? (choose a simple commitment)

Hi there! 2025 is gradually coming to a close, and it’s Thanksgiving season. Happy Thanksgiving!💃 In Nigeria, we usually celebrate Thanksgiving at church, an annual event where we thank God for the entire year. Every church chooses a specific Sunday, but it often falls in November or the first 2 weeks of December. In the spirit of giving thanks, I want to highlight a potential obstacle. When we reflect on our year, we tend to think of achievements in terms of monetary or status value. Did we...

Hi there, You know how they say comparison is the thief of joy? Well, don't we know it? When we look around us, we see many amazing people. Good-looking, hardworking, successful, even people you've known for years, and they suddenly seem to be on a different level than you. Feelings of inferiority may begin to seep in. You're not alone. It's a feeling most people experience at some point because we're human. That means we often crave the good things that others have. However, it's not...

Hi there, Let’s talk about how easy it is to talk. I know this from experience. You find something interesting and exciting, you can’t stop talking about it. You talk about the book you're going to read, a course you're going to take, a new skill you’re going to learn, a strategy you wish to implement. You even post about it on socials. But days turn into weeks, and weeks into months. You find something new and inspiring to talk about. However, you either haven’t acted on your previous plans...
