Hi Reader! If you missed last week’s piece, check it out here. This is a follow-up. Anybody with a conscience, no matter how wealthy or successful, has sacrificed money for impact. This is another reason why I believe money shouldn’t be a human’s sole motivation. Everyone has a problem they can solve. So we can impact or impart others by offering answers and solutions using our knowledge, skills, experience, and influence. Problems and unanswered questions exist in different forms, they exist in science, in nature, in humans’ physical, psychological, relational, educational, and spiritual needs. They exist in the spheres or gates of society:
Every human has an innate value they can cultivate to solve one or two problems and answer relevant questions. However, some people take advantage of the opportunities they get to propagate problematic ideas, disinformation, faulty/fake products, etc to profit off human gullibility or weaknesses. Therefore, anyone who’s passionate and bold enough to honestly contribute their bit to society will most likely resist financial temptation to do things the right way, profiting legitimately and responsibly. An example is the late Dora Akunyili, a fearless woman and one-time Director-General of NAFDAC who led campaigns to prevent the distribution and sale of fake drugs in Nigeria, even risking her life in the process. She was by no means a poor woman, but instead of collecting “hush money”, she was driven by a passion beyond financial profit. Media is another interesting space, and I don’t want to give a specific example. However, news outlets that don't pander to the whims of ‘powerful people’ might endure some financial sacrifices to speak the truth, unlike those who want to remain in the good graces of everyone. We can talk all day about arts and entertainment and the extent people go to profit monetarily. Look, we all need money, but if I speak with you and the only thing that drives you is money, then I’m concerned because there’s probably nothing you wouldn’t do for it. Alright, that'll be all for now, until next Friday. Light & Increase, Osose Christabel. To share this newsletter, please copy and paste this link: https://osose-friday-cogitations.kit.com/4541619a80

As the week winds down, Friday Cogitations invites you to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and shape your future through the lens of faith, hope, and your unique journey.
Hi Reader! We officially entered the last quarter of 2026 yesterday. I don’t know about you, but my mind is in this reflective, planning phase where I’m thinking of all I can and want to achieve this year before 2027. And once again I land on the same thing: what’s the one thing I can control? My actions. I can’t exactly decide when I’ll cross certain milestones like becoming a millionaire even though it’s been my goal for 3 years now (Oh Goddddd!😭). But there’s something I can control - how...
Hi Reader! There’s a science to things and nothing is really random. If you want achieve certain kinds of results, you need to learn how to trigger such outcomes. Now, you might not know exactly when you’ll get the result but being an ardent student means that you are constantly learning and implementing your findings until you discover what works for you. This is a belief I now hold. It really doesn’t matter what your goal is. Whether it’s building a successful business, family or career,...
Hi Reader! Sometime last week, I was talking to a friend, and the conversation reminded me of how lonely sticking to a path can get, whether it’s starting a business, growing a brand, or making a healthy lifestyle change. When you start, you might be surrounded by seemingly enthusiastic folks who say they want the same thing, but as the path’s demands grow and its rewards delay, you’ll realize that your passions, convictions, and priorities are sometimes just yours. You might be the only one...
