Hi there! You've probably experienced something like this. You suddenly want to change your life. Your heart is burning with intense desire. You can already picture the outcome, result, and benefits of the change and you think, “yes, that's exactly what I want.” You share your dream with a few friends, and they affirm you too, and probably give you more tips. If you're feeling very bold, you even share on your social media about the exciting venture you wish to embark on. However, after doing the work for a few days, your zeal starts to wane. It becomes a drag, and you probably either decide to let it go or make excuses for why it's not possible. Sound familiar? It's okay, we've all been there. That's why I've concluded that having goals and ideas is the easy part. Yes, I always have an outcome in mind. But I've learned that getting my brain to stick to the daily or weekly routine is most important. Because that's where results are born. This is a work in progress for me, but here are a few things that make a difference: ✅Being specific with my plan or activities to execute: Example: I'll read a chapter a day, 5 days a week. ✅ Giving a time frame to experiment and review a new activity: Example: I'll read a chapter a day for 30 days and review my performance. ✅ Tweaking subsequent activities based on my review: Example: I was able to read more than a chapter on most days. I'll increase it to a minimum of 2 chapters, 5 days a week. OR It was a struggle to keep up because of my current work schedule, I'll reduce it to 2 chapters on Fridays and Saturdays. I'm trying to summarize the steps because I don't want this post to be toooo long, but it can get even more specific. We'll be exploring this here more in January by God's grace because I also want to get better at execution and I'm sure you do too. Do you have any system or mind trick to ensure you don't abandon your goals or plans early or midway? Please share, I'd love to hear it. Alright, that'll be all for now, until next time. Hi Reader! One of the things that's consistent about the most successful humans to have ever walked the planet isn't skill, family connections (some might disagree), talent, or even courage to try new things. It's a strong sense of resilience that demands results. What marks resilience is the ability to get back up again. After a failure, distraction, disappointment, hurt, or just a loooong day that feels like it will never end. That’s something you need to become the next or better version...
Hi Reader! Last week, I talked about setting priorities and being specific about what’s most important to you. Today, let’s talk about enjoying the process as we optimize for great outcomes. You see, Reader, it gets really hard to stick to something when you're yet to see results, especially when it’s time and energy consuming. When your expected outcome doesn’t seem to be coming as fast as you’d like, you wonder when or if they’ll ever come. These moments are where people begin to pivot....
Happy New Year!🥳🎉 I pray 2026 opens you up to significant changes and growth in every area of your life. Have a sweet year!🥂 Let's talk about priorities. It's a new year, and most people have set goals for the year. However, our attention is limited, so there's only so much we can do simultaneously. Because the more you do, the less productive you are. If you split your attention too thin across various activities at the same time, you limit your growth and progress in each of them. That's...
