Happy New Year!🥳🎉 I pray 2026 opens you up to significant changes and growth in every area of your life. Have a sweet year!🥂 Let's talk about priorities. It's a new year, and most people have set goals for the year. However, our attention is limited, so there's only so much we can do simultaneously. Because the more you do, the less productive you are. If you split your attention too thin across various activities at the same time, you limit your growth and progress in each of them. That's because excelling in anything requires great focus. To excel, you need priorities. What are your priorities for 2026? Choose 1 to 3 primary answers. You can write out others as well. But highlight your main three. Map out the activities, time commitment, and resources your priorities will require from you. That'll determine how much time you have for your other interests, that’s if you have any room left for more. One reason, amongst others, why people get fatigued before January ends is a lack of clarity on what's important and why it is important. If thinking of the whole year is too overwhelming, start from the first quarter, January to March. What are your top 1 to 3 priorities for the first quarter? What do you need to do to make significant progress in them? Break them down into simple steps or actions and start implementing. Remember, saying yes to something means saying no to another, even if it's for a short while. So choose your yeses carefully, and you'll have the best year ever! Alright, that'll be all for now, until next Friday. Osose Christabel. Something to think about: Are there any goals you have that need to temporarily take the back seat so you can focus on your priorities? As the week winds down, Friday Cogitations invites you to reflect on the past, embrace the present, and shape your future through the lens of faith, hope, and your unique journey.
Hi Reader! We have all that we need to be 1% better today, and repeat tomorrow. We just dislike the idea of starting small, asking for help, looking scrappy and enduring the hard things. We want the posh appearance, the expensive gear, the mainstream mentors, the huge capital.. So when someone asks you why you haven't started yet. You have a lot to say. “I don't have money. I don't have a good camera. I can't afford the course. I'm not this, I'm not that..” We love pointing to all that we...
Hi Reader! This is a repost by the way.🙈 Enjoy! Ever witnessed a heated debate about the greatest people in a field? Whether it's football, basketball, Hollywood, Kdrama or a comparison of your local universities. Of course, such an argument is to be expected when people pick favourites even among people, places, or things with great qualities. The truth is, every competitor in a “who's the greatest” debate possesses excellent attributes worth admiring and discussing. But, since only a very...
Hi Reader! Last week, I talked about expressing love and gratitude, but let's keep it a hundred, these aren't the only feelings or expressions we manage in our relationships. The closer you are to someone, the more their words and actions could hurt you because you believe they should know and do better. So how do you express hurt, anger, or disappointment without escalating the situation? Take it from someone who's been on both ends, escalating and de-escalating issues, depending on my word...
